In the far north of Vietnam near the Chinese border is a high mountain valley laced with stunning rice terraces, forest, waterfalls and hill tribe communities. Under the dominating Hoang Lien Mountain Range, the highest in South East Asia, you trek along paths to isolated villages and spend time with the friendly people that live there. Alternatively, tackle the challenges of an ascent on Mount Fansipan, Indochina’s highest mountain. it’s an adventure climb through wilderness, past isolated hill tribe villages and spectacular rice terracing. A steep two and a half day climb takes you to the roof of Indochina, affording views over spectacular mountains in both China and Laos. Sleep in the forest high up on the side of the mountain and eat excellent food cooked over an open fire.
