Trip to north Vietnam could not be considered complete without a trip to Ha Long Bay, a picturesque blend of sky and sea, spotted with gem-like islands, a beauty spot on earth. The bay's tranquil beauty encompasses 1.500 square miles dotted with well over 100 limestone islands and islets. Bizarre rock sculptures jutting dramatically from the sea and numerous grottoes have created an enchanted, timeless world. The name Ha Long means the landing dragon, according to a legend that thousands of year ago, a mother dragon and her children descended in the bay.

The world famous UNESCO World Heritage "Halong Bay" is located here. Halong Bay is special because there are thousands of small islands which rise from the sea-limestone peaks which have names like Big Chicken, Fighting Cocks, and Archway to Heaven.

Many tourists will come and take boat tours around these islands, sleep on the boat and watch the stars at night. The Bay is rich with many kinds of fish, coral and anemones-some which glow in the night waters. When you are sleeping on a boat it is so peaceful and you feel you are in a very special place.

Huong Hai Junk Company operates 9 wood junks in Chinese emperiors1 style. 60 cabins can accommodate large groups or individual travelers. Each cabin is equipped with Western private baths, hot water and air condition. Restaurant and bar service is available anytime. Huong Hai Junk-style boats will have two more in operation by December, which are made at Huong Hai boat yards by traditional shipwrights! Ranked 4 stars, these 2 boats will feature 12 cabins each, with bar dining room, massage, and outdoor yard to view land and sea scenery. The most luxurious junk boasts details of 47m long, 10m wide, with 26 cabins, internet service, and an outdoor yard of 400m square, a large 160m square dining area, and mini bars in cabins. All of which is of 4 star standards.

Huong Hai Junks are made by the best shipwrights in Asia. They use only the finest materials and use traditional secrets, which comply with the high standards of government approval on each vessel. Huong Hai has pride in their ability to keep price levels down way below the other competitors in Asia, while having the highest workmanship.
